Software Engineering (HBO-ICT)

Hello, I am interested in the field of IT though I am not very confident in my mathematical skills. There is no maths module but I am not sure how strong of a mathematical or statistical background I must have to perform well on the other modules. What could I do to ensure I am well prepared?

Hi Jenny,

I actually asked this question some teachers and was told that more than strong mathematical skills, you need good logical and abstract thinking. So far I feel same and I haven't experienced anything that would require a strong Math skills.

So I wouldn't worry about it. Besides that, I personally think, the way we think and look at the problems just can be trained.. As many you trying to solve, you getting better.

Hope it helps,

Good luck!
