Master in Applied Nanotechnology

I've two questions: 1. Do you have to need a good base of maths for the master? 2. Is this HBO-master at the same level of an university-master? I saw on the internet that the title you get after finishing is the same (ir. or MSc).

Hey Arik,

Having a good base in mathematics will definitely help you in this master with regard to the modules of "Dynamic Systems". However, if you are not fully proficient in maths that does not mean that you will definitely fail, it just means that you will have to make some more efforts in these modules. As this is a multidisciplinary master, my experience was that I had to put less effort into modules that met my background (chemistry) while for other modules I had to put in a little more effort.

With regard to your second question, a quick google search led me to the conclusion that HBO and WO masters are regarded equally regarding the educational level (level 7 of the Dutch Qualifications Framework NLQF). For both HBO and WO the title is Master of Science. The title that you gain with successfully completing this master at Saxion will be: Master of Science Applied Nanotechnology.
