What specifications are important for my laptop to have?

It's recommended to have a laptop with a ‘recent’ mobile graphics card: ATI or Nvidia (GTX 1660), Intel Core I7, 512 GB SSD, (1 TB recommended) 8 - 16 GB RAM. Onboard webcam, Headphones

Personally, I recommend a laptop from the Lenovo Legion series. They're great laptops for a decent price relative to their specs (and they look really cool!). It's a pretty popular laptop within the study and I've personally never had problems with it.
