Studying International Business in the Netherlands

Feb. 15, 2019, 12:28 p.m.

I am a 21-year-old student from Hamburg (Germany) and study International Business in the Netherlands .

Currently, I am in my second year at the campus in Deventer. I like the open atmosphere which I can work in and can work every day with people from different countries which enables me to develop myself pretty fast.

Why did I choose to study in the Netherlands?

The international environment and the course content of International Business interest me.

For me it was hard to fine such a practical orientated system in Germany which would have provided me with so many different possibilities.

Studying International Business at Saxion

International Business at Saxion is extremely interactive and practical orientated . You can challenge yourself and the teachers are always there to provide help if you need it.

Beyond that, the study prepares me extremely well for the future. I am a practical orientated guy and need to apply theories instead of just learning them.

The teachers are well educated and are willing to take their private time to explain you things more detailed. The whole system is based on showing you how to do things right instead of tell you how it should be done.

Do not be afraid to take a step to live in the Netherlands.

It is not difficult to live in a different country. It is hard to take the decision to move to a different country.

What I like most about studying at Saxion? The openness and friendliness of the staff

Favourite place to study? I love to read and work in cafés. But the best place to study is my own place.

What would I say to a student thinking about choosing Saxion? You will most likely not regret the decision.

Which advice would I give to my first-year self now? Do your homework and plan efficient.

I am 21 year old student and study International Business and Management in Deventer. I was born in Düsseldorf then moved to Singapore (for 6 years) and in Hamburg. Regarding my hobbies, I used to row a lot and won the german ergo rowing championship in 2011.
